جاء هدف بيكهام "الصاروخى" من على بعد 30 ياردة وذلك فى الدقيقة الأخيرة من عمر المباراة التى انتهت بفوز فريقه جالاكسى على حساب بورتلاند تمبرز، بثلاثية مقابل هدف، فى الدورى الأمريكى.
جدير بالذكر أن هذا الفوز هو الأول لجالاكسى فى آخر ثلاث مباريات، بعد خسارته من قبل، أمام فريقى نيو انجلاند ريفولوشن وكانساس سيتى ويزاردز (1-3) و(0-1) على الترتيب.
